Hair Behaving Wildly

Shabby chic locks are here to stay!

Although tussled locks is usually a summer season hairstyle look, due to the sheer fact the sea salt and sea breeze simply dishevels any hair do we try to create on holiday- but it works, it seems that this beauty style has arrived- six months earlier!

1- Celebrity Sightings In New York City - January 15, 2015  (Sienna Miller)

Sienna Miller has recently donned the bohemian blonde bob, which has been cut in a way to ensure that it CANNOT be too sleek and just-so, it HAS to be un-styled and far from sleek, just worn rough and ready. Imagine having your hair cut in a way that, supposedly, doesn’t allow you to style it neat? Similarly, Emma Stone also rocks the crop tussled bob but for those who cannot get up and go without brushing their mane, then slight styling your waves like Emma Stone with a subtle curly wave to it for an occasion is allowed.

Not only does the tussled shabby hair do suit short hair, but it also looks fabulous with longer hair too- see Poppy Delevingne. The lucky longhaired Rapunzel’s out there may fear that leaving your hair untamed and shabby may make you look like slightly bedraggled and just swamped with hair, which disguises your facial features, yet this is not true.

Donning the shabby sheek hair do does not limit you to just wear your hair down, Sarah Hyland and Erin Heatherton sport shabby sheek updo’s. Erin sports my favourite updo- the Grecian halo plait, whilst Sarah sports a loose wavey low ponytail, so say goodbye to the Kim K sleek ponytails with no stray hairs in sight, and hello to the messy-er hair styles. However, just because the hairdo of the season verges on the messy-er side, does not mean you are soon sprouting dreadlocks and look dishevelled! This look needs slight subtle effort, not neglect!

Top Tip:  Once you wash your hair, towel dry it and add a little touch of mousse.  Or once it is dry, tie your hair in a ballerina bun and leave in for a few hourse, once you let it down you will have effortless waves WITHOUT any need for curling tongs.  However, if your hair is thick and your styles tend to drop out easily, then lightly stroke hair straighteners along your hair whilst twisting it round your hair very very lightly and spritz with a tiny touch of hairspray.

There are simply no rules for this hair style, but the less tame your hair looks (wispy bits included), the less try hard you look, the better; whether its down and shaggy, short, or a tussled updo, any which way works.
